Today is Five Minute Friday Blog Challenge started by Lisa-Jo Baker. Every Friday she’s post a word then hundreds of people blog for five minutes on the topic and support each other. It is a fun way to end the week. Today’s word is Crowd.
The business world can seem crowded at times. I know as I venture out to expand my business that there are days where it seems everyone is doing what I’m doing and I wonder “Do I want to be part of the crowd?” I wonder “if the market is too crowded?” Or even more important “Do I fit into the crowd?”
I know the answer is “Yes, I love what I do”. I’ve learnt the secret is to find your “crowd”, your “tribe” and be your unique self. The world is huge and each person’s style and knowledge will attract the right clients for them. Our unique connections allow us to reach people in way that other people in our crowd will not.
Most entrepreneurs initially walk away from the “9 to 5” crowd and we do find ourselves in place that are new. There are so many powerful entrepreneurs that are creating change in this world because they walked away from the expected and were willing to explore the possible.
I’m curious, if you are entrepreneur (business owner), what drove you to walk away from the “crowd” and go out on your own?

I broke out of the crowd when I was tired of people trying to make me something I am not. I wanted to be myself, because there is only one me. I am unique to the universe, and there will never be another me again.

P.S. And what caused me to walk away from the crowd? The realization that it is better to invest your time building a business that pays you – rather than be a slave to a business that creates profits and time freedom only for the owners and, to a limited extent, the share-holders…
but that’s another story…

YES, YES, YES…
A part of my Freedom Nation United ‘Creed’ that a say every day goes:
We choose to be different because we are unique, inter-connected individuals and we are proud of that.
We don’t play like others in the ‘crowd’ do.
We will be understood by the 3% of The World and misunderstood, at times, by the remaining 97%.
That’s okay.
We are the positive force that shapes our futures.
THANK You, Thank YOU, THANK YOU for endorsing the journey of the few – as opposed to the ‘journey of the broke’

I want to spend more time with my family and celebrate my work. A typical 9-5 office environment doesn’t let me do that. I can work smarter – not longer – as an entrepreneur!

Great Krystal – Love the statement “You can work smarter – not longer – as an entrepreneur!” Great lesson for so many entrepreneurs to learn.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing.
