The other week I met a woman who not only “lives in the moment” but whose passion was to make a difference in people’s day. She brought 100% of herself to her job with the desire to make each person’s day, many of who were going through a difficult time.
Her job isn’t glamorous but is so necessary. She works as a receptionist/administrator at a medical clinic. Many of the patients and family members that go through her doors are facing serious medical conditions or uncertainty.
Yet she made everyone smile, laugh and feel good. Now that is a talent. She was a story teller and an open heart. As I waited for my father to have his test – a co-work of hers came in to share that one of their patients told her that this woman’s had made all of the difference to her and had been a light in a difficult journey.
I spoke with her for a while and her attitude was inspiring as she woke up every day with a desire and spirit to make it the best day possible. To show up fully in what she was doing. To bring fun and light into the lives of the people she interacted with.

How are you showing up in your day? How could you show up more?

Hi Heather,
I think we all need to learn how to show up in life. Not only showing up in life but also playing bigger. Playing bigger and showing up involved stepping outside of our comfort zones. Every little step counts! Thanks Heather!

Nate, definitely, it does involve getting out of our comfort zone and take a risk. We have to learn that doing that results in huge rewards for ourselves and others.

This is a great message today Heather.
When we are passionate about what we do, we just naturally radiate that spirit of enthusiasm and joy. This positive and optimistic energy is contagious and touches everyone around us. When we pour our “ALL” into our work by igniting our passion, gifts and purpose, everyone around us benefits.
Healthy blessings

I work at practicing this every day…it does take practice, at least for me!
