Are you missing the one thing in your content that makes people ENGAGE?
What is it?
A stranger sees your post in a group…
…lands on your website….
…catches a reel on Instagram…
…sees your pin.
What’s going on in those first few seconds? What are we trying to cultivate in that moment?
It might surprise you but it’s THE CURIOSITY FACTOR!
There is so much coming at us on social media, we filter everything that we see based on our wants, needs, and desires.
Curiosity is what has someone stop and
…engage with your content.
…check out your profile.
…watch your video.
…opt-in for a free offer.
…go to your website.
…book a free call.
Is your content cultivating curiosity?
If you’re not capturing people’s attention, they’ll scroll by to the next story, reel, or post.
The Curiosity Factor Part 1 & 2
By definition, curiosity is the desire to know.
There are two types of curiosity that we need to cultivate in our content.
- Draw in strangers
- Nurture followers and clients
How do you do it?
The better you understand your niche, their wants, needs, and struggles, the easier it is to create content that invokes their curiosity and need to know more.
You have a moment to capture people’s attention, typically it is with a catchy 1st line and/or image. It can be done through:
- Humour
- Controversy
- Inspiration
- Questions
- Results
- And more.
Ask yourself when creating content, would you stop scrolling and engage? What can you tweak to up the Curiosity Factor?
