Today is Five Minute Friday Blog Challenge started by Lisa-Jo Baker. Every Friday she’s post a word then hundreds of people blog for five minutes on the topic and support each other. It is a fun way to end the week. Today’s word is Small.
Are you playing small in your business, in your life? Or are you out there chasing your dreams, your passions?
The winter Olympics are a beautiful example of people living big, driven by the passions and going after their goals. When you think of it only 3 people/teams will win a medal yet every Olympian is a winner. The dedication it takes to be a Olympian is huge, they are the top of their sport in their home countries.
What amazing me even more is the list of injuries most of the alpine skiers, freestyle skiers and snowboarder have over come. They are not only back competing they are winning.
Why?
- They are passionate about what they do
- They have fun and enjoy what they do
- They are dedicated to their sport
- They take risks
- They hate to lose but they see loses as opportunities to learn and get better
- They believe they can win
- They play BIG when it counts
So many entrepreneurs I know are playing small. Can you start playing bigger? I know I can!

Hi Heather,
Wouldn’t it be great if we all became our own best friend and champion so that everyon shift from existing
to LIVING. If we embraced our brilliance to stop playing small and start allowing the greater than imagined possibilities for our life to transform our reality? I do my best to live from love and confidence rather than fear or feeling “not good enough.”

I love watching the Olympics, it’s true what these individuals have to go through to get what they want. I have ups and downs and when I feel small it’s harder to push, but I push harder! Thanks Heather, great article!

Gilly – great comment, some times it hard to push through and play big. I’m discovering that is when you need to look at your goals, your passion and your dreams and use that to push harder.
Thank you for sharing.
